Beckmead Family of Schools was rated Outstanding by Ofsted in January 2017.  The Family of Schools is an expanding learning and nurturing community for young people with Educational Health Care Plans that is based over a number of sites.  The Monks Orchard Road site will cater for 54 SEMH KS2-3 boys and 30 KS3-4 boys who have ASD and related behavioural difficulties. The Morland Road site, Chaffinch Brook is for 36 ASD/SCD KS1-2 pupils who present with challenging behaviour. Bramley Bank includes Rainbow class at Aerodrome Primary and a short stay school that provides places for children referred from mainstream schools due to behavioural issues. We are seeking to recruit 6 General Teaching Assistants at Level 2 to join our increasing staff team at Chaffinch Brook Upper School to work with a team that are responsible for developing an ASD specific, exciting and innovative provision for secondary aged children who require a nurturing positive ethos in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.   The successful candidates will already be excellent teaching assistants with a commitment to fulfilling the needs of pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional or learning difficulties, and/or social communication difficulties related to ASD. The ability to motivate pupils towards high achievement is essential.  Excellent teamwork, classroom and communication skills are vital.
