Seeking a Teaching Assistant for full-time permanent position for our specialist school Priory Telford. Our Teaching Assistants will be outstanding relationship builders, you will know how to inspire the pupils and support them to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude to learning. As a teaching assistant you will support the pupils and the teacher within a range of subjects within the curriculum.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake education support duties and assist the class teacher in the day to day needs of the students to help with their care and to enable the teacher to implement the curriculum.

  • To help students progress and behaviour.
  • The help keep up to date records on the students and work as part of a team.
  • To attend training where relevant.

Autism can present very challenging behaviours, this is a physically demanding role and staff must have the confidence and emotional resilience to deal with this. Although experience is desirable it is not essential. We require someone with the resilience and tenacity to ensure  to ensure the very best for our pupils.

Due to the nature of this role a valid driving license for more than 3 years would be essential.

Priory Telford is a day school that provides a high quality of education for up to 18 boys and girls from the ages of 11 to 18.
