Following the promotion of the current postholder, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant on a temporary fixed term contract until July 2022. There is a strong possibility that this post will be made permanent.
You will be joining our hard-working, reflective and forward thinking SEND Faculty to assist in the support and inclusion of pupils with special educational needs within a mainstream school. Experience in supporting numeracy and progress in Maths would be an advantage but not essential.
We are an oversubscribed 11-16 girls’ Academy with 975 pupils where learners are supported by an outstanding programme of personal development, guidance, a personalised curriculum and high expectations. In January 2013 Ofsted recognised us as outstanding in all areas.
We are at an exciting time in our development and an opportunity has arisen for someone to contribute towards our continuous improvement.

Fairfield High School for Girls is a non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 academy for girls, situated in Droylsden in Manchester. The school, which converted to an academy in 2011, has 981 girls on its roll.
Fairfield High School is one of the oldest all-girls schools in the country; in was founded in 1796, when Sister Mary Tyrrell opened a small girls' boarding school. In September 2004, as part of the Specialist Schools Programme, the secondary school became a Science College.
