Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with ASC and MLD to join our successful supply teaching team, and to work in a primary school in Trafford. This is a full -time TA role, which will commence ASAP with the potential to turn into a permanent position.

The role

The desired Teaching Assistant should have a positive outlook and excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone who can think creatively to adapt to each pupil’s needs and aspirations. Successful experience of working with pupils with Autism is preferred.

The post will suit someone either looking to work at a special needs school environment or someone with a special school experience. This school is well organised and has a caring, nurturing approach to educating students and it takes pride in its commitment to delivering quality learning through pupil-centred programmes. They provide a well-structured routine in a safe and happy environment that promotes tolerance and respect throughout the school community.

Requirements

• Ideally have experience supporting pupils with Autism.

• Have high quality classroom skills and be a reflective practitioner.

• Have a passion for working with children with barriers to learning.
