St Augustine’s is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated TA, known as Teaching Partners in our setting, to join the Learning Support Department. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to the further development of this thriving Department.

The post will provide opportunities to support students across KS3 and KS4 but with particular responsibilities for some children in year 7 who will need the support and skills of an experienced and sympathetic person to enable them to develop all aspects of their development. The TPs play a key role in the support and development of many students enabling all to be included in mainstream school life within regular classes. The role of the TP is crucial in enabling this to happen and they are looked on as valuable team members by all staff and students. While we encourage the growth of independence in our students by ensuring that they work with a range of TPs, the role of key worker remains vital for those who have significant and complex needs.
