Al Rabeeh Academy is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable quality teaching assistants. Al Rabeeh Academy is a brand new, purpose built school, opening August 2017 and is a part of a growing network of schools.   

The current Al Rabeeh School is a well-established primary school with an excellent reputation within the community of Abu Dhabi and was recently rated a Band A School in an ADEC full school inspection. Al Rabeeh School was established in 1979, making it one of the oldest international schools in Abu Dhabi, growing considerably over the years. The school is a member of British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) and is committed to professional development and the CPD programmes BSME offers.  

Al Rabeeh Academy is a bilingual private school from FS1 to Year 13, delivering the English National Curriculum, alongside Arabic Language, Islamic Studies and Social Studies (taught by Arabic teachers). The girls and boys are segregated from Year 4. There is a well structured leadership ladder with opportunities for internal promotion, as the academy grows. The successful candidates will be highly committed team players with the drive, energy and passion to develop Al Rabeeh Academy. 

Successful applicants will need to be sympathetic with the ethos and values of Al Rabeeh Academy, a school with a high population of Emirati/Arab students. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, confident in establishing open communication with students, staff and parents.
All candidates must have GCSE / High School Diploma or equivalent qualifications and excellent written and spoken English. Candidates must be on husband/father sponsorship.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to build good relationships with young children
  • Teach individuals or small groups 
  • Create and maintain effective relationships with adults and students
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in a demanding working environment
  • Pupil supervision around the school and school trips
  • Create displays and organise the classroom 
  • Assist teacher’s with preparation of resources
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, with the ability to work in a highly demanding environment
