Job overview

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for 27.5 hours each week  (0.6 FTE £9.37/hour), 8.45am-2.45pm (to include a 30 minute unpaid lunch), term time only for a fixed term period (academic year 2017/18. This may be extended). 

Interviews will take place Thursday 13th July 2017.

The successful candidate will: 

• Provide support in lessons across the curriculum, as well as 1-1 and small group work for SEND students. 

• Be flexible across general teaching assistant duties 

• Work with a range of students who require enhanced learning provision and other support programmes.

Pewsey Vale School is a small mixed 11-16 comprehensive school catering for students from widely varied backgrounds in the village of Pewsey in the Pewsey Vale of Wiltshire.  Pewsey Vale School is currently in the process of joining Acorn Education Trust and view this as an exciting opportunity.

The Pewsey Vale grounds are shared with a leisure centre and primary school. The village of Pewsey is known for its statue of Alfred the Great and its annual carnival. It also has convenient road and rail access to London.
