The Rowans School (part of the Shrewsbury House School Trust) is a popular and successful co-educational pre-prep for children between the ages of 3 and 7, situated in Wimbledon. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to start 24th February 2020. We also welcome applications from candidates who are interested in a short-term fixed term contract.
The successful candidate must hold a full and relevant level three qualification, or be prepared to undertake this training as soon as possible, and have experience of working with children in Key Stage 1/ Lower KS2. Please note: candidates without this experience and qualification (or willingness to undertake the qualification) should not apply. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a small team and will be considered as an integral part of the school community.

About The Rowans School
Founded in 1936 The Rowans is an Independent Co-educational Preparatory School for children aged 3-7 yrs old.
The school is in a large private house in Drax Avenue, a quiet road off Copse Hill, Wimbledon. There is supervised parking available and a drop-off facility for older children. There is a very large well equipped playground in the gardens, together with a Techotile surfaced area within the grounds, comprising either: four short tennis courts; or six-a-side football; or netball / uni-hockey pitches. The Nursery has its own self-contained garden and play area.
The Rowans provides an enabling environment so that these vital early years of education will be fun, at times challenging, whilst bringing out the best in every individual child, thus preparing each child for future learning.
