This is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school of 1000 + pupils situated 8 miles north west of Oxford. 

Teaching Assistant 

Hours : Monday – Friday, term time only,  28.1 hours per week 

Salary : G4 Pt 11 – 13 : £15,807 - £16,491 pro rata   (£9,998 - £10,431 actual) 

Start :  Start date negotiable around 1st May 2018 

An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Teaching Assistant to an enthusiastic and supportive team to either work with pupils in classes or in Learning Resource and Support Bases.  The post is term time only and over 5 days of the week. 

Essential qualities are a genuine interest in the education of children, patience, a friendly and outgoing disposition and good organisational and communication skills. Experience of working with young people is an advantage. 

This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate seeking to gain experience prior to embarking on a PGCE, teaching or similar qualification.

About The Marlborough Church of England School

The Marlborough Church of England School is a mixed secondary state academy with sixth form situated in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, and is attended by more than 1,000 pupils. The school is named after the Duke of Marlborough, whose ancestral home is the nearby Blenheim Palace. It was rated "good" in its most recent Ofsted inspection.

The Marlborough C of E School was founded in 1939. Recent additions include the Marlborough Enterprise Centre, which opened in 2007 and features a theatre, cinema and conference centre. A new science centre was opened in 2010. The school received a British Council International School Award in both 2009-2012 and 2012-2015.
