Hackney New Primary School opened in September 2015 with an inaugural two classes of 25 children in Reception, and in September 2019 these children will become our first Year 4 cohort. Ahead of September 2019 we will also be moving into our brand new, state of the art building.

Hackney New Primary School is an outstanding and exciting new school striving to create something unique and special in the heart of London. We are distinguished by our commitment to music as a core subject alongside English and maths and our mission to keep the development of the whole child at the centre of our work. Our school community share family-style meals together and work closely with local organisations to ensure the very best relationships with our community.

We are looking for a member of support staff to work with our teachers and children to ensure each and every child is happy and making excellent progress. We welcome applications from candidates with a range of experiences. The post could be ideal for experienced support staff or for graduates preparing for related careers or further study.

Join our happy team to help make Hackney New Primary School a special place to learn. We can offer you extensive professional development opportunities with a fantastic team of teaching staff. As the school grows, there will be room for our team members to grow with us.

Notably, we are offering our children breakfast club provision and an extended school day. The role of the Teaching Assistant will include supporting these sessions.

The headteacher welcomes informal discussions by telephone, so please contact us by e-mail to arrange.

Hackney New Primary School is committed to the safeguarding of all children, through its policies, practice and monitoring procedures. Any applicant wishing to work around children can expect to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS). If shortlisted for interview your motives for working in a school setting will be explored. Knowing that racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination exist, we promote justice, fairness and equality in all areas of school life. All backgrounds and groups, including those with disabilities, are welcome to apply.
