Job overview

The Team Leader will be responsible for curriculum standards and outcomes for A Level qualifications.

You will monitor academic staff within the A Level subjects and ensure that all A Level qualifications meet the needs, standards and requirements of all partners, such as awarding bodies, employers and higher education institutions. Coordinating schemes of work and assessment schedules, you will be involved in lesson observations to include supporting staff in capability process and mentor and support NQT’s.

We’re looking for an individual who holds a Degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject (Maths, Law, Accounting or Economics is preferred) and who has experience of leading and managing A Levels, with a track record of making sustained improvements. Recognised as a good or better teacher, you will have a strong vision for the improvement and development of the curriculum area and have experience of successfully monitoring ‘at-risk’ learners to achieve or exceed their potential.

We also ask that you hold a teaching qualification or are willing to achieve one in line with current regulations. Experience of managing, supporting and developing staff is desirable. 

The post will be based in Kingston College.
