We are now looking for a Team Leader to take responsibility for the organisation of the BA Early Years Education.

Contributing to the future direction and planning of programmes, you will be responsible for teaching, coordinating and developing the Foundation Degree and BA in Early Years Education, ensuring high quality student support and learning. Organising the Higher Education courses and taking part in curriculum planning and product development, you will publicise and promote programmes and recruit and select students for courses.

Carrying out standardisation meetings and liaising with the moderator as required, you will implement course review and evaluation systems whilst developing resource based learning and e-learning, including the development and acquisition of programme learning materials. You will recommend timetables and programme delivery models that are both efficient and effective in the use of resources and coordinate a comprehensive student tutorial programme consistent with the Student Charter that will include careers guidance, action planning and records of achievement.

Candidates for this role must hold a recognised teaching qualification and have experience of teaching on Foundation Degree and BA (Hons) in Early Years programmes theory and practical sessions including work based assessment. With knowledge of the Foundation Degree and Degree frameworks, you will have a good understanding of a range of teaching strategies that meet individual learning needs and have experience of working in a PVI setting.

Monitoring and evaluating staff progress and performance, you will have the ability to carry out timely and effective appraisals and have experience of tackling different issues. A confident decision maker who can communicate information and knowledge effectively, you will be able to develop a customer focused service and have experience of developing services that are accessed by learners, responding to identified learner needs.

Carshalton College is a co-educational further education college based in Sutton. It is a non-denominational school.

The college has been an education provider for over 60 years. It is a major provider of full-time, part-time, apprenticeships, access, undergraduate and supported learning courses.
