Team Leader – English (Years 9 & 10)
Required for January 2018
Enhanced Salary Scale + TLR2b
Are you an English teacher who is passionate about your subject looking for a first leadership position or already have a leadership position and wish to broaden your experience in a creative and vibrant setting?
Do you believe that every child has the right to an education and that all children deserve to have their personalities, talents and skills developed to the full?
Would you like to work in a school that has a robust behaviour and rewards policy that enables ‘trouble free’ teaching?
Would you like to work in a leadership position with suitable time to do your role?
Would you like to work in a school that offers excellent CPD and progression opportunities and, as a United Learning academy, offers an enhanced salary compared to national rates (approx. 5% higher) and offers many other rewards such as half price on site gym membership, childcare discounts in our on-site nursery, car-leasing scheme and many discounts in high-street stores?
We are looking for a Team Leader of English to develop an excellent curriculum provision and high quality teaching across Years 9 & 10. Susan, our Head of Faculty, is happy to offer any support and training should you need or want it. The one thing you will definitely need is a love of English and know how to motivate our young people to feel the same.
At The Regis School, we enjoy building positive relationships with young people.
We are a big school. About 1500 students and nearly 200 staff. We have an astounding school building with superb facilities across all subjects, but that doesn’t define who we are. What defines us is our very real sense of community as a Rights Respecting school; a togetherness that permeates through daily school life and focuses everyone on the job in hand – ensuring The Best in Everyone.
We will give you a curriculum framework, a modern classroom with excellent facilities, comprehensive CPD opportunities, your timetable of classes and above all, the freedom to teach with creativity to motivate our students to work hard and achieve their potential.
There is an open invite for you to come and see us because we appreciate that, in teaching, moving to a new school is a significant decision. We are convinced our young people will sell this opportunity better than anything you can read on a website, so we encourage you to come and meet us all. Our recruiter, Richard, is happy to arrange this for you. firstname.lastname@example.org / 01273 729465.
Closing date: Wednesday 11 October 2017
Interviews scheduled for week commencing 16 October 2017.
We reserve the right to call interviews earlier for suitable candidates, early applications are encouraged.
