We are looking for an exceptional candidate to lead our excellent English team.

We are passionate about the teaching of English Language and Literature and we are looking for an individual to help the team continue to thrive and flourish.

Our team are talented and committed, with a wealth of experience. Results have been strong for many years and are continuing to improve; and most importantly, students really enjoy and engage in learning in English.

You will be innovative, creative and enthusiastic, with a determination to achieve the highest outcomes. You will have an incisive understanding of teaching and learning and the ability to reflect and challenge.

Professional development opportunities are plentiful, and we are working hard to be innovative around workload - we want you to have a balanced life and enjoy working with our children. We have strong, supportive policies on feedback, reporting and behaviour for learning that allow you and your team time to plan and teach excellent lessons.

Castle Manor Academy aims to be the inspiration for the individuals within its community. The willingness to take risks, to be innovative and creative are the attributes we wish to develop in everyone. We have a strong set of values and we care.

Teaching and Learning is at the heart of all we do and permeates our culture. We are part of the Samuel Ward Multi Academy Trust with other secondary, primary and a special free school, and have a strong history of effective staff development and training.

We are located 20 miles from Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds.
