Team Manager – Hub and Special Educational Needs/Disabilities

A NEW AND INNOVATIVE DISABILITY SERVICE IS LAUNCHING IN DUDLEY IN SUMMER 2018.

The Dudley Disability Service will provide a seamless support service for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Developing new integrated working across Adults and Children’s Social Care and SEND – an exciting new delivery approach.

We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking individual to form part of our new leadership team. Shaping the future and making a real difference to the people of Dudley.

The successful candidate will possess operational and management experience in special educational needs, and will provide leadership, operational management and direction in the delivery of the service Hub and special educational needs functions of the disability service.

You must have qualified teacher status or a similar professional qualification, with significant experience of managing high quality education services with a SEND agenda. You will be responsible for managing a SEND team, and for providing professional expertise and maintaining accountability for the SEND function across the multi-disciplinary teams. You will be responsible for managing the service hub, which provides a social care duty service, and business support. You will have experience of managing cultural and organisational change, and of leading and championing a culture of strong partnership working across all disciplines.
