Job overview
Required as soon as possible at Bridlington School, an inspirational and talented Technical Assistant to join the Food and Textiles Technology Department. Duties include providing clerical and ancillary support to the very successful and friendly Art, Design and Technology team as directed by the Head of Department.
We need a good role model for students who will:
- share and communicate the values and ethos of the school to strive towards ‘Outstanding’;
- have excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills;
- support lesson preparation, including weighing out and preparation of equipment for practical lessons;
- support lessons to run smoothly by ensuring that materials, ingredients and equipment are suitably prepared
- provide in-class support for teachers in practical lessons;
- provide clerical support, including photocopying, filing and compiling booklets and worksheets;
- maintain classroom displays and undertake basic equipment maintenance and safety checks;
- be responsible for stock control and ordering;
- be able to develop a relationship with students which is professional, firm, fair and caring;
- be able to implement school policies.
Hours: 32.5 per week, Monday to Friday, term-time.
