A vacancy has arisen for a technical coach to provide technical support for teaching staff and students in the areas of Media, Photography, and Graphic Design & Digital within the College. The successful applicant will also provide guidance to students on the use of equipment and practical processes associated with these industries and skills.
The successful candidate will need to have skills with visual and audio recording equipment, black and white film processors, digital workflows, and darkroom and studio practices. Experience of signing in and out equipment, as well maintaining, monitoring and repairing equipment would be desirable. Experience of orders and stocktakes is essential, as well as preparing materials for classrooms and workshops. Knowledge of portfolio building and exhibiting work is a key part of this role.
The successful candidate will have a recognised Level 3 Creative qualification and ideally a minimum of a level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English. Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a classroom, workshop environment or workplace is needed.
The successful applicant will be expected to work flexibly and under pressure to meet deadlines, and be customer focused with excellent communication and organisational skills.
