Job overview

We are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified individual who must possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to prioritise tasks and have a logical and analytical approach to problem solving.

The successful candidate will maintain, develop and oversee our whole school IT systems. You will provide essential operational support to ensure that IT hardware and AVA equipment is well maintained across the school and is used to its full potential. You will support the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning to our pupils and assist in staff CPD.

You will be responsible for the local management, maintenance and security of the school network, IT hardware, AVA equipment, peripherals and software. This includes new hardware installation and configuration. Offsite support from the Local Authority Schools’ ICT Team will be available.

The successful candidate will have experience of providing IT support, ideally in an educational environment and including:

• knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows Server 2012-2016, Windows 7/10, Active Directory, Mobile Device Management (preferably Apple and AirWatch, Classroom management Software, Antivirus, Office365)

• knowledge of Apps for Education or the ability and motivation to learn

• the ability to plan for IT improvements and changes and oversee their implementation

• knowledge and experience in managing a website or the ability and motivation to learn

• experience of managing a wireless network

You will also require:

• excellent interpersonal skills and cheerfulness

• a flexible, supportive and resilient attitude

• the ability to train and advise others effectively
