Job overview

Strode College has an exciting opportunity for a Technician Assistant within our Science laboratories.

You will assist with the preparation of equipment/apparatus according to the practical methods the teachers supply for Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, T-Levels and Physics. You will work in a professional, methodical manner, but with a sense of humour and willingness to work alone or as part of a team – with an awareness of health & safety and ability to follow instructions. You will be working within a well-managed and high-performing science department and positive communication skills are essential.

Contractual Details

Rate of Pay or Salary:                   £19,300 - £20,644 per annum pro rata (actual salary £18,506 - £19,795 per annum)

Working Time:                               37 hours per week – 43 weeks per year

Contract Type:                               Permanent

Pension:                                           Local Government Pension Scheme
