Our School of Creative Industries, which covers a wide range of Creative Industries including Digital Arts, Art, Design, Media, Fashion, Dance, Acting, Production Arts, Music, Music Technology, Games Design and 3D Design, is now looking for a Technician in Fashion Textiles.
As our Fashion Textiles Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and operation of the general classrooms, workshops and the textile print room, including supporting Lecturers in sessions with students. You will also service events for the College and external groups, ensuring that all users have an understanding of the use of equipment, health and safety issues and how to deal with security issues should they arise.
So if you have work experience in an area appropriate to this role, then we want to hear from you! All that we ask is that you have good working knowledge of machinery and equipment and are adaptable and flexible, able to work in an environment of change and development. Good IT skills would also stand you in good stead, as would the ability to work well with staff and students.
Experience of working in a theatre/media environment would be a distinct advantage.
The post will be based in Kingston College.
This is a variable hours post. Working hours may include evenings and weekends. Daytime sessions may be between 08:00 and 18:00.
