An opportunity exists for a Technician in Engineering to join the Trafford College Group and play a leading role in realising our vision of being a dynamic career college.
This is an exciting time to join the Group following the merger with Stockport College. A major refurbishment programme is planned for the Stockport Campus and this represents a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to drive transformational change for students, employers and communities of Stockport and Trafford.
Working in our purpose built world-class Centre for Science and Technology, where learners can unleash their full potential and be creative through hands-on learning, you will have the ability to provide a technical support service to the department and other resource areas, preparing equipment and materials for practical classes, demonstrations and exam projects and where necessary providing support in the classroom.
We are looking for someone who has experience of working in the engineering industry with an industry qualification, level 2 maths and English is a requirement, or a commitment to work towards. Experience of supporting L1 PEO, L2 PEO (electrical) and L3 engineering learners would be an advantage.
