Job overview

William Morris Sixth Form, situated in Hammersmith, was established as the country’s first 16–19 comprehensive school. We offer 850 students from West London and beyond an exciting range of academic and vocational courses from foundation learning through to advanced level. We are an over-subscribed, vibrant, inner-city learning community which has the individual student at the heart of everything it does.

We are looking for an energetic and creative technician to join our Media and ICT curriculum areas. You will use your creative and technical skills to support staff and students in the classroom when specialist software is in use and outside their lesson time to improve their practical skills/technical skills. You will also be responsible for creating resources which encourage students’ independent learning, e.g. self-study packages/guides to software programs, to support both staff and students.

Ideally, you will be educated to degree level in a relevant area and be able to use video and image editing software and desktop publishing packages, ideally Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and In Design. You will also be experienced in DV filming, editing (basic) and uploading footage for online use and have a genuine desire to engage with young people.
