Job overview

September 2022

Dear applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the post of Subject Leader for Technology at St Nicholas Roman Catholic High School. This is a maternity cover contract to start in January 2023.

This is an exciting time for us as we look to further strengthen our Technology department here at St Nicholas. We are an excellent Catholic school with a fantastic reputation for the very highest of standards, outstanding students who are eager to learn and exceptional staff who walk the ‘extra mile’ to ensure that every student in our care lives life and lives it to the full.

We are looking to appoint a Subject Leader for Technology with a passion and vision for learning and teaching in Technology across all Key Stages - a highly effective practitioner who will make a difference by inspiring a love of learning in their students. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, forward thinking, and progressive department which is keen to build upon the many successes within the school’s external inspection reports from both the Diocese and Ofsted.

St Nicholas has made significant progress with the continuous development of the curriculum we deliver to our students. The successful candidate will benefit from teaching in a department which offers comprehensive and robust schemes of learning, incisive planned assessments, and is fully resourced. Coupled with this is an unwavering commitment to the bespoke professional development of every member of our teaching staff.

If you feel that you have what it takes to deliver our vision, we would be delighted to receive an application from you. Please send your applications either via the TES website or by email to d.poole@st-nicholas.cheshire.sch.uk.

The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 10th October. Shortlisting and interviews will be confirmed following this date.

I look forward to receiving and reading your application and I thank you for your interest in St Nicholas RC High School.

Yours sincerely
