We are seeking an Information Technology Officer to provide ICT systems support to school staff and students of Siena Catholic Primary School, Sippy Downs.

You will be primarily involved in frontline service including: responding to and troubleshooting IT enquiries, and service requests from staff and students; Help Desk administration/management; management of the Student and Staff iPads and laptops; administration of specific projects (eg. NAPLAN online) and strategic support; management of the wireless network and technology administration for the school in alignment with BCE policies and practices.

Ideally, you will have strong technical skills and working knowledge of hardware and software applications, as well as excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills to resolve issues. The successful applicant will be responsive and flexible; well planned and methodical. Salary will be as per the School Officers Award.

This role, even though predominantly administrative, also involves work with teachers, administration and students in the support of our school Technology teaching and learning and delivery of classroom and school-based programs and events.  Being able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively is an important skill in this role.


To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.


Estimated start date:

Position tenure:  Fixed Term

Weeks worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure duration (where Fixed Term)12 MONTHS

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 25 to 30 hours per week depending on applicant. Onsite working Monday to Friday.

Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 4 - $33.52 per hour

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
