Technology Senior School Teacher (KS3&4, D&T/Food Preparation & Nutrition)

Introduction

The Governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of D&T and Food Science who will significantly contribute to the development of Technology at Cransley School. 

The successful candidate will understand, value and nurture Cransley School’s ethos and will build upon the School’s success, whilst preserving its culture and mission statement of Seeking Excellence; Nurturing Relationships and Venturing Beyond.

The successful candidate will carry out the professional duties of a school teacher as set out in the current Teachers’ Standards.  

The candidate will teach a (0.5-0.6) timetable of D&T and Food Preparation &Nutrition across the ability and age range of Cransley School, from the Junior School to GCSE, delivering agreed Schemes of Work, and to carry out the duties of a classroom teacher.  

Contract: Permanent, Part-time (approx 0.5-0.6 over four days)  

This role could be increased to full-time for exceptional candidates with the facility for teaching others subjects.

Flexible working hours will be considered for exceptional candidates with the framework of our timetable.  Please enquire.

Salary: Cransley Main Pay Scale.

Qualifications and Experience 

¥ A good degree, with teaching qualification. 

¥ Evidence of training and/or delivery of the GCSE Food  Preparation & Nutrition Curriculum (Cransley School delivers the AQA Syllabus). 

¥ Good understanding and knowledge of current educational issues for the 7 – 16 age group.
