Technology Technician

Buttershaw Business & Enterprise College is an improving school.  We are an ambitious, community-focused academy of just over 1400 students serving an area of social deprivation on the southern edge of Bradford and seven miles from Leeds.  BBEC is popular locally and is rapidly becoming the school of choice for the community of Buttershaw; for the last four years we have been over-subscribed in Year 7.

We are looking to appoint a technology technician who will primarily provide technical assistance to the technology department (food) and to provide technical assistance to 3D design and art textiles when required. This includes the preparation of materials, setting up of equipment for classroom activity, supporting student progress, the maintaining of equipment, and the purchasing of supplies.

The successful candidate will have:

• grade 4 or above in English and maths at GCSE or equivalent
• experience of working effectively with small groups of students or individuals
• experience of working with children aged 11-16
• experience of preparation of food or textiles materials
