Technology Technician

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, and skilled Technology Technician. You will be proactive and able to work independently. The main purpose of this role is to work with teachers to facilitate, organise and support teaching and learning activities in the department by preparing equipment and resources, supporting students in classes and monitoring health and safety.

The post will suit someone with a natural ability to engage with young people. This role is a superb opportunity for anyone wishing to gain experience in a school environment, possibly as part of their career development.

Ideally, this role is part-time for 20 hours per week, to be worked over four days, term time only. However, flexible hours would be considered for the right candidate.

We are a mixed 11–18 non-selective converter academy with approximately 835 students. Uplands Academy converted to an Academy in September 2022 and became a member of the MARK Education Trust (formerly Beacon Community College Academy Trust). The acronym MARK was selected because staff who work in the trust are motivated, ambitious, resourceful, and knowledgeable. This partnership will provide many exciting opportunities for professional development and the sharing of good practice across the two schools.
