This post is temporary until July 2022
With the creation of a new provision for students spending some time out of lessons for a variety of reasons, including learning, sensory, social, emotional and mental health needs, we are looking for an exceptional person to supervise and support these students alongside providing support when needed in the classroom. The post-holder will play a role in the set-up and development of this new provision.
The successful candidate will have:
•A calm, nurturing approach, inspiring trust and a sense of safety in students.
•The ability to work proactively, independently and flexibly in an ever-changing environment.
•Experience of working with children and/or young people, especially those with additional needs.
•An understanding of and interest in special educational needs and disabilities, including social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
•The ability to support students’ learning across a range of school subject areas.
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of staff members.
