Southend High School for Girls is an Ofsted Outstanding, 11-18 selective school with 1030 students (290 in sixth form).
“All aspects of the school’s work are excellent” – Ofsted, December 2011.
We are seeking an additional peripatetic violin teacher to join our music team to teach students during the school day. A growing number of students choose to learn instruments and we hope that you can bring enthusiasm and passion to continue to encourage more students.
The Music Department has three practice rooms and we fully support the work of the peripatetics.
It is expected that you will be able to teach violin to grade 8 or above. This is initially a temporary position but if pupil numbers continue to increase, there is a possibility it could become permanent.
