Values and Vision

The school places an emphasis on collaboration and teamwork, shown by its mission statement “Together Students Achieve”. It is part of an environment that aims to respect the individual needs of its students, allowing for social and emotional - as well as physical and intellectual -development for all the children involved. Ensuring that the academic work moves at a pace that benefits all students, there is a Student Development Centre for vulnerable students, alongside support for student literacy, numeracy and behavioural and social skills.

With its role as both a secondary school and a sixth form college, it is an academy that always strives to provide the highest quality of continuity possible for students at each stage of their education.

Ofsted

“Students are proud of their academy. It is a calm and orderly place to learn, where most students work hard, and all feel safe. Leaders at all levels, including governors, have acted effectively to improve the academy. They have raised the quality of teaching by eliminating any inadequate practice, and have improved students’ behaviour. They have clear and convincing plans to improve the academy further.”
