Following the introduction of a new teaching spine in 2016 whereby incremental rises are linked to performance, we are proud to say that no member of teaching staff had an increment withheld during the academic year 18/19. We believe in supporting staff successes and incremental rises are a key part of this. As such, we do our up most to work together to avoid withholding the rises wherever possible.

Temporary Teacher of Music

An additional responsibility of Head of Music is also a possibility for the successful candidate (additional allowance of £1,020 to £1,939 per annum).

Up to pro rata of £38,748 per annum.

We welcome applications for this teaching role to take up post the end of August 2019 until 31st August 2020 to cover a period of maternity leave. We would also welcome applications from Statistics teachers for this post. We are a large department and hence have the flexibility to timetable staff to their strengths.

Cardinal Newman College is a mixed, non-selective, Roman Catholic further education college in Lancashire, serving students from the age of 16 and above. The College, situated in Preston has over 2,000 students enrol every year.

Cardinal Newman College offers a range of courses, including A-Levels, BTEC, T-Level qualifications and GCSE resits. It was identified by Ofsted as outstanding in 2009. The College was founded and is part of the Catholic Church.
