Allestree Woodlands School is seeking to appoint a temporary full or part time teacher of science (any specialism although chemistry desirable).
The Faculty consists of General Science at Key Stage 3, Combined, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Key Stage 4 and Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry and Physics being extremely popular at Key Stage 5. All of the buildings are new and the Science faculty includes 9 fully equipped modern laboratories. Science is a high attaining faculty and the school has seen a consistent progress. A significant number of our A-level students go on to follow medicine or science related degrees at top Universities including Oxford and Cambridge.
We are looking for a talented, dynamic and ambitious Science teacher (full time or part time, with any specialism, although chemistry would be most desirable) for a January 2020 start. This is a temporary post to cover maternity leave within the faculty. The successful applicant should be innovative and able to inspire, should set high standards of teaching and learning and demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities. The successful applicant will join a very committed, collaborative, forward thinking and successful team. The school offers a very personal and professional supportive environment.
