Hours per Week: 1.0FTE

We require a Textile/Fashion teacher to teach across our A level and BTEC Art & Design courses including L4 FAD. The successful candidate will have experience of working in the industry and have an ability to teach Textile Design, as well as strong traditional Fine Art skills up to level 4. Experience in a range of hands on studio practices, pattern cutting, garment construction and a working knowledge of industrial sewing machinery is essential. An enthusiasm to develop aspects of learning through the use of ICT is also welcomed. The successful candidate for this post must be an excellent communicator, motivator and efficient teacher in terms of delivery, paperwork and organisation, with comprehensive subject knowledge. We welcome an innovator and catalyst, who is a team player and is able to contribute to future changes and new initiatives within the department. The ability to contribute to teaching other specialisms in Art & Design would be an advantage, for example 3D Craft. A job share would be considered for this post.
