We have a fantastic opportunity for a Textiles Technology Assistant to join the Penola family. This is a part time (approximately 3 days per week) ongoing position.

As the Textiles Technology Assistant you will be responsible for providing assistance to Textiles Teachers in the classroom. This will include assisting students under the direction of the Teacher. You will also ensure that all the textiles equipment (sewing machines, overlockers etc) are in good working order. Some after hours work may be required at certain times throughout the year.

About You

To be successful you will have a knowledge of textiles, sewing machines and overlockers. You will also be able to guide and assist others. You will have or be willing to obtain a current Working With Children Check and National Police Records Check.

Flexibility is required as timetable changes will change the working hours required for the position.

You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
