Rugby School is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced, full-time Theatre Technician to join a thriving Performing Arts team based in Rugby’s Macready Theatre.

The Macready Theatre is a professional 240-seat receiving venue which runs a professional programme alongside Rugby School’s academic and co-curricular Performing Arts activities.

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and highly skilled Theatre & Performing Arts Technician, with particular experience in lighting, sound and stage management. The post-holder will manage technical aspects for all internal school productions and other activity in the theatre and will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all theatrical equipment. They will also provide handover support to the theatre’s casual technicians for external touring productions. The role is ‘Term-Time Plus’ which includes regular evening and weekend work during term-time. A flexible approach to working hours will be required. The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.
