Queen Ethelburga’s is an independent Collegiate of four co-educational schools. We are now seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Theatre Technician to join our highly successful King’s Academy for Performing Arts, part of the Creative Arts department. They will implement, oversee and manage technical systems within the Theatre, assist teachers, students and others with the facilities on a day to day basis. The successful candidate will also assist the Creative Director of The King’s Theatre in the daily running, programming and technical maintenance of the Queen Ethelburga’s Kings Theatre.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across a range of disciplines and departments within the school. With up to date knowledge of all technical aspects of a working Theatre, the successful candidate will be able to work both independently as well as collaboratively and manage their workload effectively. Experience working in a similar role in a school would be beneficial. 

As a thriving day and boarding school, we have seen our numbers grow year on year, making us one of the largest boarding communities in the country. Our facilities are enhanced annually to help ensure that we have everything needed to allow our young people ‘to be the best that they can with the gifts that they have’ (our Hill Standard).

Please note that this is a non-residential position with no on-site accommodation being offered. Your own transport is essential due to our rural location.
