Are you a Permanent MPG Teacher wishing to further your skills and experience?

You need to be an excellent teacher who:

  • has a proven record of being able to raise standards in literacy;
  • has excellent subject knowledge and keeps up to date with the changing curriculum;
  • has a good understanding of AfL and is competent in using assessment systems;
  • seeks opportunities to develop leadership skills;
  • wants the opportunity to work as a member of a senior staff team;
  • works creatively and can evaluate new ideas and implement them;
  • is passionate about pupils’ learning and raising standards;
  • can inspire our children to achieve their very best in all aspects of literacy;
  • has a positive approach to challenge and change;
  • is a flexible team player;
  • has high expectations of pupils, staff and themselves;
  • has a strong and focused work ethic
  • able to work independently, set own deadlines and keep to them.

Clifton Primary School is in Balsall Heath, Birmingham, and teaches 921 pupils. Around 113 children are in the nursery. The school has four-form entry up to Year 5 and three-form entry in Year 6. A Rainforest building was recently constructed, which includes 12 classrooms, plus a new Early Years Foundation Stage building. This features a sports hall and main entrance to the school. 

Clifton Primary School, which was rated outstanding by Ofsted in 2009 and 2013, admits pupils from the local catchment area in the Sparkbrook Ward of Birmingham.
