Job overview

Lancing College runs a Server 2019 / Windows 10 network of approximately 550 PCs and laptops supporting 1500+ users on four sites. We have two suites of Apple iMacs. We support Pupils own devices on a BYOD basis.  All pupils are issued with an iPad and teachers with a Surface Pro laptop. 

The Trainee IT Technician role is ideally suited to an individual starting their career in IT or that has been in a similar role previously.  In an environment perfect for learning a broad range of IT skills we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and focused individual to join our thriving IT Department.

Hours of work will be from 08.30 – 17.45 or 08.00 – 17.15 hrs Monday to Friday, with one hour unpaid lunch break.  In addition, the Trainee IT Technician will be required to work from 08.30 to 12.30 hrs on Saturdays during term time only (on a rota basis, this works out approximately six Saturdays a year).   One year fixed tern contract to cover Maternity leave.
