Location: Paignton, Devon

 

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Assessor to be responsible for recruitment of learners and employers and the support of both relating to Work Based and Work Experience programmes. The postholder will have a caseload of learners and employers; supporting and monitoring progress whilst helping to ensure that the college meets its success measures and contractual requirements for the programme. You will be responsible and contribute to curriculum development and implementation of pastoral and welfare systems provided for learners.

 

The postholder will assess learning for learners enrolled on a range of programmes, including Teaching Assistants, which could be online or require travel around Devon. You will undertake assessment of learner’s knowledge and competence as appropriate by formal or informal methods, as set by external examining bodies and internal procedures, this could be on the College site and in the workplace as required.

 

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years and or supporting Teaching and Learning, an IQA Assessor and Verifier Award and English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent. Experience in Education (Primary or Secondary), experience working with work place trainees and previous experience in a similar role is essential.
