About the role  

This role is full time – 35 hours, permanent. 

The Training Advisor is responsible for a caseload of learners participating in training.  Training Advisers contribute to the design and delivery of learning programmes and assessments, to enable participants to successfully achieve their qualifications to include full Apprenticeship standards. Training Advisers liaise closely with Employers and have a key role in developing learners to achieve their learning goals and inspiring them to overcome barriers.  


The successful candidate will have:  

• Level 3 or equivalent in relevant electrical occupational area.

• English and Maths GCSE grade C or above- or equivalent. 

• TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards. 

• Ability to achieve deadlines and targets.

• Empathy with young people.

• Desire to assist learners achieve their career and learning aspirations.

• High level of self-motivation - ability to work on own initiative.

• Clear proactive approach to planning, organising, prioritising workload.

• Good problem solving / decision making skills. 

• Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills.

• Practical occupational experience as required by Code of Practice and relevant awarding bodies.

• Proven track record of consistently achieving performance targets.
