Tenure: Casual, 2 terms per year, 2 days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday), hours flexible - 12:30 – 4:00/5:30pm

Surbiton High School seeks an enthusiastic and inspirational Trampoline Coach, to be in charge of the delivery of trampolining at the school, both curriculum and co-curricular.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with writing the trampoline Schemes of Work
  • To deliver structured and engaging  lessons to Year 10 and upwards
  • Promoting the Trampolining Club and attending the co-curricular fair
  • Organise and run the Surbiton High School Trampolining Club
  • To select teams, complete appropriate communications with staff/pupils and parents
  • To do the necessary preparation and set up prior to and after the sessions
  • Lead at competitions and club events
  • Complete School reports on curriculum classes
  • Carrying out any such duties as may be reasonably requested.


The successful candidate will be likely to fit the following profile:

  • British Gymnastics – Trampoline gymnastics level 2
  • The ability to deliver inspiring trampoline sessions
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and support pupils in a successful and dynamic
    School
  • Evidence of competing/teaching trampoline at a high level
  • A proven track record of demonstrable training and coaching success
  • Evidence of successful, inspiring and innovative coaching at all levels in an educational setting would be preferable 
  • Experience of collaborating with colleagues
  • Up-to-date knowledge of trampoline technique, strength and conditioning
  • High levels of personal and professional integrity and the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality
  • Personal warmth to gain the confidence of pupils, staff and parents
  • High standards of personal presence and presentation and attention to detail
  • A strong work ethic and a flexible attitude
  • Positive, enthusiastic and energetic approach to life, with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to think creatively and imaginatively
  • Committed to Surbiton High School’s ethos
  • High expectations for pupil attainment, personal development and conduct
  • Ambitious and aspirational for oneself and for the School
  • Committed to professional development and show a willingness to undertake
    appropriate training for this role

Surbiton High School has approximately 1600 pupils aged between 4 and 18. Our Preparatory Schools are divided into the Girls’ Preparatory School and Boys’ Preparatory School, and the Senior School is girls only from age 11 upwards.
