We have an opportunity for a flexible and hard-working person to join our three-strong Finance Team.  Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, our Transactional Accountant will require tenacity and assertiveness on a daily basis.  The post holder will be agile in their approach whilst recognising that “no two days will ever be the same” and will be analytical and able to multitask. 

A full job description is available, but the responsibilities will include: 

  • The recording of incoming cash receipts, including ensuring standing orders and bank transfers are completed timely and accurately 
  • Coordination of month-end close procedures  
  • Ensuring petty cash is managed within group policies with all transactions processed timely and accurately 
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts 

We would like to hear from you if you: 

  • Are AAT qualified or equivalent with significant relevant equivalent experience  
  • Have experience of Finance IT applications 
  • Have industry knowledge within the school sector

Sir William Perkins’s School is a high-performing independent girls’ school for approximately 600 students aged 11 – 18 years. The Head is both a member of HMC and GSA. It was founded in 1725 and is now on an attractive 12-acre site situated on the outskirts of Chertsey, a two-minute walk from the railway station and very near to the junction of the M3 and M25.
