Are you interested in helping our learners achieve their full potential? Oaklands College is home to one of the largest SEN provisions for students aged 16-24 in Hertfordshire. The Springfield Department supports a range of learners with both complex learning difficulties and disabilities and, for some, those whose needs fall within the Autistic Spectrum. The department is Autism accredited and was identified as Outstanding during the most recent Ofsted Inspection.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time SLD Transition Support Worker to join the College, working alongside 2 other colleagues based within our Supportive Learning Department. You will provide support to LD schools, students and their parents/carers, within school and at College to enable the most vulnerable students to make a smooth and successful transition from school to college.

To be considered for this role you must hold a Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths and have experience of working with individuals with severe learning difficulties and disabilities and building relationships with parents/carers you must also have proven knowledge of special education policy and practices.

A driving licence and car is essential as you will be required to travel between various sites and employers in the Hertfordshire region; standard mileage rates will be paid.
