The Senior School Nicosia is a co-educational international secondary school located in Nicosia, Cyprus. The school began life as a junior school in 1944 which, following a period of expansion, added a senior department in 2003.  The school is a not-for-profit organisation, receiving no government subsidy. The Senior School provides an international education for students aged 12-18, primarily in an English-language setting. The school moved onto its current site in 2016, in Latsia, on Nicosia’s outskirts, and as a result is able to boast of a huge variety of modern recreational and academic facilities such as multiple swimming pools and sports grounds, a modern recording studio, and dedicated performing arts facilities. In terms of curriculum, students traditionally enter The Senior School from its affiliated junior school, with the intention of studying for the iGCSE examination, followed by the two-year International Baccalaureate exam, an internationally-accredited pre-university qualification. In accordance with the IB curriculum, the school offers a huge number of enrichment opportunities for its students, including a model United Nations, the European Youth Parliament, and a large number of residential trips.
