37 hours per week, term time only

Working Pattern: Due to the nature of the duties it is expected that the successful candidate will work flexibly to attend meetings during daytime, twilight and evenings

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only including half an hour unpaid lunch break; there is some flexibility how these hours are worked in view of the working pattern of this role

(FTE Salary FMAT Scale SO2 £28,485 – £30,153)

Actual Salary £24,911- £26,370 based on 45.6 paid weeks and FMAT Terms and Conditions

Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust is seeking to employ a committed, conscientious, flexible, proactive and self-motivated Trust Administrator, Clerk and Company Secretary who has the ability to work to deadlines, deal with conflicting demands whilst completing their tasks to a high level of accuracy. The successful candidate should have outstanding interpersonal skills, be able to build trust and be a person of integrity whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times and dealing with situations in a tactful manner.

The Trust Administrator, Clerk and Company Secretary will ensure that the Trust and its academies are compliant with all Recruitment and Selection processes for “Governors” and provide assurances to the CEO and the Board of Directors.

The Clerk will secure continuity of the governance business; be proactive in driving the work of the Board of Directors, to enhance and improve the standard, accountability and professionalism of governance across the Trust. The post holder will ensure the Board is properly constituted and observe confidentiality requirements at all times and will provide advice to the Directors on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, working within the broad current legislative framework and ensure that the Board has regard to advice from the Clerk in regards to exercising governance functions as detailed in the School Governance (Roles, Procedures and Allowances) (England) Regulations 2013.

The successful candidate will also act as Clerk to the Board of Directors and Company Secretary. Provide a full administrative service to the Trust and Board of Directors to enable proceedings to be conducted effectively and in accordance with the provisions in the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Trust, the relevant Education Acts, and the Funding Agreement with the Department for Education and Charities Commission requirements.
