Trust Administrator

Permanent 25 hours a week, Term Time + 2 weeks

Salary: NJC Grade 7 £21,074 - £23,111 per annum pro rata

(Actual salary in the region of £12,650.96 - £13,873.80)

Faringdon Academy of Schools is seeking to appoint a Trust Administrator.  Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, this role will provide the focal point for central trust administration and provide administrative support to the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer.  

The Trust Administrator will be responsible for leading clerical matters for the Trust Office. This will include, trust and company administration, governance, policy and GDPR administration. In addition the successful candidate will deliver training to governors, line manage LGB clerks, maintain the FAoS Website and assist with the marketing / PR operations of the trust. This role also involves clerking meetings for the Board of Trustees, which will require some evening working.  

Key requirements for this role include:

· Good organisational and communication skills;

· Demonstrable ability to co-ordinate tasks with others;

· Cognitive flexibility to learn, understand and apply policies and frameworks;

· Decision making skills and judgement to manage varying work streams concurrently;

· Service orientated approach; and

· Experience in clerical and administrative work including minute taking and diary management.

Whilst a working knowledge of education based policies, codes of practice and legislation is desirable, it is not an essential criterion for this role.

Faringdon Community College opened under its current name in 2000, having previously been known as Tollington Secondary Modern School. Located in the town of Faringdon, Oxfordshire, the school provides a co-educational secondary education for students aged 11-18.

In 2012, the school became part of the Faringdon Academy of Schools, alongside seven others. The Faringdon Academy of Schools includes institutions at all stages of children’s education and allows providers in the local area to work more closely together.

Faringdon Community College provides for around 1,500 secondary and sixth-form students.
