This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing multi-academy trust of six schools.

The role of the Trust Business Manager is to be responsible for the Premises management, Financial Management and Compliance across one or more schools within the Trust, under the direction of the Chief Finance and Operations Officer.

The role will be based at the central office in Warrington, however the ability to travel to individual schools is a necessity. Schools are currently based in Warrington and Liverpool.

The Trust is looking for a strategic manager who can lead by example, holding and articulating the Trust’s vision and values and focusing on providing an excellent education for all children and students.

Main Responsibilities:

•        To be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of one or more schools within the Trust. Including but not limited to, the management of financial records, resource allocation and budget control, financial planning, the financial management of projects and funding relationships.

 •        To work closely with the Chief Finance & Operations Officer to ensure that the Trust effectively delivers on its strategic financial plans and business plans.

 •        To ensure that the schools they are responsible for make the best possible use of resources through effective planning, considering all financial and other resource management implications.

 •        To actively contribute to the development of quality improvement programmes across the Trust. 

•        To act as a key point of reference for commercial and financial issues, as well as participating in the management of major academy projects, which may include potential growth.

 •        To manage and quality assure all procurement processes within the schools they are responsible for.

 •        To monitor the operation of policies concerning procurement within the schools they are responsible for.

 •        To monitor the operation of contracts entered into for the supply of services within the schools they are responsible for.
