Job overview

Are you passionate about the teaching of English?

Bohunt Education Trust is a fast growing and dynamic multi-academy trust of eight secondary schools in the south of England. We are looking to appoint a Trust Director of English, who will work across a number of academies within the Trust to develop the teaching and leadership of English.

The successful candidate will be innovative, creative and an outstanding practitioner. This post is an excellent opportunity for an English Specialist who wants to extend their experience beyond that of a Head of Department or Head of Faculty.  If you have been an Advanced Skills Teacher, outstanding Head of Department or held a position of responsibility in English teaching, this post would enable you to maintain close links with classroom practice whilst developing your own leadership potential.

The role would entail 0.6 of your time based (and teaching) at your home school and 0.4 of your time working across the Trust.

We offer you:

• Potential for career progression in a rapidly-growing Multi-Academy Trust

• Cycle to work scheme, Retail and other discounts

• Open and forward-thinking working environment

Bohunt Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment. We are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.

For an informal discussion about the role please call Phil Avery, Director of Education, on 01428 724324.
