The Liverpool Joint Catholic and Church of England Academies Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust jointly sponsored by the Archdiocese of Liverpool and the Diocese of Liverpool and incorporates The Academy of St Francis of Assisi and Enterprise South Liverpool Academy.
Both The Academy of St Francis of Assisi and Enterprise South Liverpool Academy are joint faith 11-18 Academies with Christian Values at their heart. Both Academies are fortunate to occupy modern and unique buildings which inspire both staff and students.
The Multi-Academy Trust is focussed on delivering the highest quality learning environment for its students and is committed to ensuring that every student makes the most of their potential providing the best possible student support and the most appropriate and innovative curriculum.
In order to meet these objectives, the Trust is looking for an outstanding leader of English to take up the new post of Director of English across both Academies within the Trust. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the delivery of English within both Academies and line management of the Subject Leaders. The immediate focus will be on achieving a rapid improvement in student achievement and progress, whilst developing a longer term plan for the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum.
The successful candidate should be:
- committed to the Christian ethos of the Trust;
- an outstanding leader who is able to build capacity over a large team across two Academies; and
- passionate about making the difference for young people in the city of Liverpool.

The Academy of St Francis of Assisi is an 11 – 16 Academy with900 students on role. It is a joint foundation of the Anglican and Catholic Dioceses of Liverpool and is situated in the grounds of Newsham Park in Kensington, Liverpool.
