Job overview

Brooke Weston Trust is offering exciting opportunities to exceptional practitioners to lead, drive and develop the educational provision across our multi-academy trust in these subject areas. You will play a major role in ensuring students in our family of schools receive stimulating, high quality teaching and achieve excellent outcomes.

Working at both a strategic and operational level, you will work closely with all our secondary academy Principals and Heads of Department across the Trust, playing a crucial role in developing the direction, capacity and resources of your subject to ensure the provision in our academies becomes and remain highly effective. Line-managed by the Trust Director of Education, you will have access to an appropriate budget to support your work.

The Trust Director of Subject posts represent first class opportunities for proven specialists wanting to extend their experience and develop the leadership skills essential for a successful career within a MAT-led education system of the future.  If you are an outstanding teacher and have previous strong experience as a successful Head of Department, AST, SLE or equivalent, our Trust Director post would enable you to maintain close links with classroom practice whilst further developing your leadership potential within a supportive environment.

You would be based at one of our secondary sites but would work across our family of academies as necessary. We believe it is important that Trust Directors of Subject continue to teach some classes of their own to ensure they maintain credibility with their peers and provide an evidence base of outstanding practice for others to visit.
